MOIHA And The RHA Join Forces

The St. Louis, Mo area has always been known as a roller hockey hot bed and the Missouri Inline Hockey Association has been a big reason why. MOIHA and the RHA are extremely happy to announce their partnership for 2009-2010 season as the organizations both look to do bigger and better things this year and beyond.

The Missouri Inline Hockey Association started play in 1997 and has done a tremendous job with the structure for youth players in the area and showcase 14 Jr. High School teams along with 62 High School teams in 08-09. The major facilities in the area such as All American Sports Mall, Matteson Square Garden, Midwest Sports Plus, and The Wheel inside Omni Sportsplex all take part in hosting games during the year. St. Louis has also produced some of the top roller hockey players in the world and most of them have played in the league. Both roller and ice stars such as Paul Stastny, Pat Maroon, Travis Turnbull, PJ Tallo, and JP Beilsten all represented their schools in MOIHA.

The RHA and MOIHA are pleased with the new relationship and look forward to the future. “We are excited with the new partnership with the Roller Hockey Alliance. We feel the RHA shares our vision for a better future in roller hockey. We look forward to many more great years of growth because of this partnership,” says MOIHA commissioner, Ian Mackey.
